* 1993-94:
Eight high
schools sanctioned a girls hockey team. An
invitational tournament was held in February, for the
eight teams. The girls considered it their
State Tournament. In the final, Blaine/Coon
Rapids defeated Anoka/Champlin Park 3-0.
Laura scored all three goals. Blaine/CR
finished the season 16-0. Laura [9th grader]
scored 70 pts. That's a pts/gm average of
4.38. |

Laura Tryba proved why
she's a three-time all-state player. The Blaine senior
scored five goals as the Bengals blanked Owatonna 9-0
Thursday at the State Fairgrounds Coliseum.
Set records for most goals (5) and most points (6) in a
game.
